Das Museum zeigte im Frühjahr 1932 eine »internationale Graphik-Ausstellung«, für die kein Katalog erstellt wurde. Max Beckmann zeigte hier 2 Blätter. Quelle: Brief des Art Institutes, Chicago, 1971.

Das Museum zeigte Anfang 1948 eine Beckmann-Ausstellung (10. Jan 1948 - 22. Feb 1948), mit 69 Aquarellen und Zeichnungen sowie 59 Blättern Grafik. Außerdem kam ein vom Künstler koloriertes Exemplar der »Apokalypse« zur Ansicht. Es erschien kein Katalog, stattdessen gab es eine Liste der ausgestellten Werke. Siehe auch ROBB 1948.
